The Famous LC3 Armchair Le Corbusier from Cassina
The picture says is all really..
The Le Corbusier Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris French designer created the range which includes this LC3 armchair.
Read about the full life of the designers Le Corbusier here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Corbusier
Cassina have taken on the designs and reproduced them.
Your be able to find cheap copies of this LC3 along with the entire range of the Le Corbusiser designs but Cassina is the one and only to opt for.
High quality production is what cassina is famed for.
If you have been in a modern office is so likely you have already sat on a LC3 armchair on one of the LC sofas.

Hi Roger,
All the new ones start with 003 for the LC3 range 004 for the LC4 range..
Are you talking about the real Le Corbusier by cassina or the thousands of copies on the market?
This year basic 2 seater LC3 sku = 003 24
Hope that helps.
hi,
thanks for getting back so soon.
they are all cassina originals with the le corbusier signature/cassina stamped etc.
but all serial numbers do start with lc3 08...?
could they an earlier production?
kind regards
roger
Hi,
I sadly can't find those numbers for the last 3yrs...
I assume it maybe older or a reference to something else...
Sorry I couldn't help more..
If it was a stocked / clearance item it could be very old??...
once again thankyou,
i have decided to email cassina direct.
fingers crossed they reply.
as soon as they do,i will let you and your readers know the outcome.
kind regards
roger
p.s i only paid £600 for the lot!!!
hmmmm..
The retail price for the chair alone starts at £1,000+ so Either is really old stock from someone closing down or its most likley copies..
Serial numbers don't match either its more than likely to be a set of copies..
Please notes even copies have the cassina stamp on them..
